What are some of the toughest losses the White Sox have had while you were in attendance at the game?
Mine was in 2004 at Wrigley when after Carlos Lee tied it in the top of the 9th Marte choked and walked in the winning run in the bottom of the 9th. Having to walk out of Wrigley Field on the 4th of July with all the drunk Cub fans waving their brooms was a brutal experience. What about you guys?

I wasn't at this game, but this is by far the toughest lost I've been through...
http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...00309180.shtml I was at this gem the night the Sox completed their 2006 meltdown... http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...00609180.shtml |

I'll never forget being at this game. Even at the age of 12, I remember being pissed off that they found a way to lose this game...

One that almost got away this year was that Detroit double header. We were up 7-0 and blew the lead. Thankfully, Kyle Farnsworth came to the rescue. |

Game 3 of the 2000 ALDS.
Crushing how fast that season came to an end.

I don't know exactly what game it was, but I remember the Sox were down two runs in like the 8th inning and Alexei got a "hit" and the Detroit left fielder made an amazing dive to get the final out. There was a man on 3rd and 2nd so the game probably would have been tied. That made the game suck even more because some guy suckered me into giving his kid the first BP ball I caught.
![]() I think Alexei tying the game in the 10th in another game with a homerun on my birthday makes up for that though!

This is the first game I remember where I was REALLY devastated by the loss:
http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...98310080.shtml I mostly remember walking down the ramps with my Dad after the game, trying not to cry, and some people behind us said, "oh well, wait until next year," and that just infuriated me. I had to turn around and say, "Sox fans don't say that!" |
