Fine-tuning: Blue Jays designated hitter Frank Thomas has been in Florida since last week, but he's been working out at Knology Park, Toronto's Grapefruit League home. Thomas has been working with 64-year-old Walt Hriniak, who has served as the slugger's long-time hitting instructor.

Great to hear that he is healthy and ready. He had a hit yesterday, by the way - up to 2 on the spring.

Didn't Frank hold out on going to see Walt until the midpoints of the last two seasons when he was struggling a bit?

Hopefully he won't take 2 months to get going this year. I'd love to see some MVP batting numbers out of him again.

Yeah, I was watching that. He had a right to be pissed. Two exact pitches, first was called a ball, second a strike.
