Default Frank Thomas 2008 Update Thread

From bluejays.com:

Quote:
Fine-tuning: Blue Jays designated hitter Frank Thomas has been in Florida since last week, but he's been working out at Knology Park, Toronto's Grapefruit League home. Thomas has been working with 64-year-old Walt Hriniak, who has served as the slugger's long-time hitting instructor.

Update article on Frank's Spring Training was posted at Bluejays.com.

Great to hear that he is healthy and ready. He had a hit yesterday, by the way - up to 2 on the spring.

Didn't Frank hold out on going to see Walt until the midpoints of the last two seasons when he was struggling a bit?

Hopefully he won't take 2 months to get going this year. I'd love to see some MVP batting numbers out of him again.

Frank was ejected from last night's game against the Yankees, and is 1-9 (.111) to start the season.

Yeah, I was watching that. He had a right to be pissed. Two exact pitches, first was called a ball, second a strike.

Not to be rude, as you have been around forever and contribute a ton of much appreciated information to this site, but as it seems you are a BoSox fan, I always wondered why you hang around WSI so much?

For the same reason that we have Tigers fans, Twins fans, Mariners fans, Cubs fans, etc. posting here, because intelligent baseball discussion with a large number of people can be found here.

Hogtown?

Ooh, the Jays are wearing their sweet throwbacks, too.

Though, I think seeing the Big Hurt trot around in one of those is going to make me cry.
