I remember he used to have a studio off of 103rd and Longwood Drive in Beverly, and I went to grammar school with one of his daughters.

The sketches, BTW, are excellent.

I have a colleague who is offering one his Comiskey Park sketches to me. I haven't seen it yet, wanted to see if anyone here had one.

He does beautiful sketches and watercolors. Here is a link to the White Sox sketches. http://simmerling.com/whitesox.htm

It's still there...he did a bunch of new ones after the WS, I have a cool one of Konerko and another one of the team after clinching...also I think I have one of Old Comiskey. He does a good job.

I have one of his sketches right behind me in my office. My dad gave it to me for Christmas in '90 or '91. I think he got it at the studio in Beverly. I love it. One of my prized possessions.

11/8/07 - Just an update on the sketches. I was interested in obtaining one of the sketches (I just learned of these recently). This week I tried to e-mail Jack Simmerling on his website and discovered that the e-mail link is not working from their website. So, I called the store and they informed me that they are taking only phone orders for the sketches (no on-line sales). If you are interested in one of the sketches, please call their phone number at 773-233-0084. In my opinion, these sketches are absolutely beautiful.

October26 - Thank you to the 2005 World Series Champions Chicago White Sox!
October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions!

These look fantastic - how much does he normally charge for these sketches? I'd love to get one of these for my father for Christmas.

You should research that on your own. Nothing can be bought or sold here at WSI, so any link to a site that offered the pictures would be removed.

Check Ebay or other sources.
