Default Question

On MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network) right now is the Hawaiian Winter Baseball League. I've never heard of it; is it similar to the Arizona Fall League or something?

Yes. The Hawaii League is for less experienced players. Usually it features A-ball guys and recent draftees. For instance, Joba Chamberlain tore that league up last winter, giving some indication of what was ahead for him.

The Sox do not send players to that league.

Good question.

I do know that Ken Inouye from the 80s punk band Marginal Man is the Senator's son which is kind of weird.

The Senator was very interesting in Ken Burns The War.

I noticed a few names I've heard of in the Hawaiian league, most notably Matt Vieters.

If he is, it isn't directly (Ken Inouye is the senator's only son).

He is from Hawaii, though. His father is Reid Inouye, a surfing promoter/entrepreneur.

Actually Kanekoa Texeira is on the Honolulu Sharks and has pitched 2 scoreless to date. Matt Inouye is there as well.

Baseball America said the Sox weren't sending any players. My bad.

Completely serious yet stupid question: Is he related to Mark?

EDIT: I see they're spelled differently, I guess not.
