Default Green?

Why are the players' hats and numbers green in tonight's game?
Just curious.

Special jersey night, I'm calling the AJ walk-off home run right now.

This is a make up spring training game against the Angels that was rained out on St. Patrick's Day, so this game does not count in the standings....but are you required to pollute thy self.....

White Sox Caps
First 20,000 adults

Halfway to St. Patrick's Day
PREGAME:
OUTSIDE THE GATES
Come hear the foot-stomping jigs performed by the Chicago Rovers at Gate 3. Say "Erin go Braugh" to the Trinity Dance Group performing at Gate 4. Irish Eyes will be smiling as the Katie Sullivan Band showcases their talent at Gate 5.

PARADE AROUND THE WARNING TRACK
Julie Ann Venci, who was named the Queen of the 52nd Anniversary St. Patrick's Day Parade this year, the Shannon Rovers and the Trinity Irish Dance Group will participate in a pregame parade. The first 100 fans to arrive to Gate 1 by 6:30 p.m. dressed in all green are invited to participate (weather permitting).

ANTHEM
Chicago South Side natives Three Men in Kilts will perform the National Anthem.

Does brown liquor count as green beer?

Did the Sox go on the cheap this year? No fitted hats, and I don't even think they're wearing green socks.

Normally ST holders get the HalfWay to St. Patrick's Day hat in their gift box - it seemed there was a lot of stuff we didn't get this year that was given away...

Considering they wear the hat for all of 3 hours, it isn't a big deal that it isn't fitted, IMO.

I never said it was a big deal, but they usually have fitted hats, and (although I can't really tell) green socks.

They are the free hats from last year. You can see the Miller Lite logo.

Wrong. If you do a promotion, Do it right and don't do it halfass. They wore the Chicago Negro League cap for 3 hours and cap was fitted.

I can't believe they are wearing those hats. They are not fitted and they look like a teal to me....maybe it's just my tv. That is embarrassing! They only wear them for three hours is a ridiculous excuse. I never remember seeing any team wear non fitted hats for a regular season game.
