Ugh...i'm never going to a signing at the zoo again...Last time that happened with Podsednik it was a complete waste of time. There were people there before the Zoo even opened!

I went to Lincoln Park Zoo today. I normally don't chase after rookies, but I think Richar is going to be a fine player for us for a long time. I had he and Uribe sign balls. Around 100-150 people were there. The players were more than 20 minutes late, but were cool once they arrived. The signing took place in the Lion House.

Brookfield Zoo is going to be a lot more crowded.

Schools are beginning to get back in session, which may defray the size of that crowd.

It was pretty crowded despite many schools starting....It was nicely done however, there has to be a better way to deal with large crowds and telling them that if you show up 20 mins before the players arrive you WILL NOT get an auto, not, if you wait in line you never know....

Yeah that was great that they gave out 200 tickets and held it inside. JD and AJ were about 10 minutes late, but were very cordial. The line was HUGE when I got done so they should have just cut if off instead of letting people stand there in the sun.
