I totally agree, gives fans a chance to see the future of their organization at their park.

It also gives a chance for normal people to see a game at Fenway Park

Ben and Sarah Pinault of Cape Elizabeth scored two tickets to Fenway Park that normally would cost them $572.
Their cost: $60.

When the Red Sox play in Fenway, tickets range from $312 for exclusive dugout box seats to $12 upper bleacher seats.
Tickets for the Futures games range from $30 to $5.

The Pinaults bought seats in the EMC Club Pavilion, the newly built area behind home plate that features a comfortable setting, including dining service. Those tickets go for $286 apiece, except Saturday.

BOSTON With the Fenway Park crowd chanting "Let's Go Sea Dogs" in the bottom of the ninth inning, with the bases loaded and Portland down by one run, Jay Johnson stepped into the batter's box, mixed emotions churning inside.

applause to the Portland manager
Quote:

Johnson, who was hit by a pitch on the elbow Friday night, probably wouldn't have played at Hadlock Field. But Manager Arnie Beyeler emptied the bench for this game. "The big thing is that we wanted to let everyone get a chance to play here," Beyeler said. "Some guys may never get back here again."
It was a great crowd and they were really into the games....
