I am saying I don't feel like we have a lot of insurance if a starter goes down. I don't care how much potential Gavin Floyd might have, unless it translates into success at the pro level (as a right handed pitcher) it means nothing. If Coop can fix him, more power to him, but for as much good as Coop does (Contreras, Thorton) he has been unable to put some puzzles back together (Cotts, Vazquez, Buehlre 2nd half of 06).
I really have no confidence in Gavin Floyd until Floyd gives me a reason to be confident in him.
I know Kenny works with 3 year plans, but it just all seems like 2 nights ago, in his last Chuck Norris esque move, Kenny kicked his chalkboard in half, and decided to blow the plan up and start all over again.
This team has 3 major holes. We need a SS upgrade, Unless Brian does a complete turn around, a CF upgrade, and bullpen. We managed up improve none of that. I dont mind working in a kid or 2 here or there, but it doesnt help a team when you have to allow them to grow and struggle to get through things. A capable offensive CF might have gotten us into the playoffs last year (along with 2 or 3 more RP)

And we have 3 months, $10-15 million and four highly-regarded minor league pitchers to work with....add McCullough and we have five.
KW doesn't do anything else before March 1st, then you can complain to your heart's content.
