After Mike Ditka was fired I knew things were never going to be the same and it hasn't, especially with the Bears putrid record since 1993 so it doesn't bother me anymore.

I do remember though when they blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead and lost to Houston in 1987. That was an extremely bad day for doors all around the house. My wife was pretty upset.

That was a painful one to watch...hopefully Pods and Dye'll be back out there tomorrow. I've got high hopes for Vazquez's White Sox debut.

Surely the Sox can pull off a win tomorrow.

yep I agree, I'll take a .667 clip any time. Seriously, what would be wrong with 2 out of 3? Yeah we let a very winnable game get away tonight, but Ozzie will hopefully have these guys fired up.

I'm not worried about the pitching because we have a very good starting 5. They will come into their own as the season goes on. Some people would think that the weather right now would fit into the pitchers hands, but look where 4 of our 5 starters are from...warm weather places. They'll heat it up soon. I am not worried about our team, in general, right now. For God's sake, it is only the 4th game of the year.

Like most Sox fans, I'm a little worried right now about the focus our team seems to be lacking. I know, I know: We can't chase last year's team and it's still early in the season. That said, these last two game against the Tribe and especially against the Royals were games we could have won. I don't think that it's ever too soon to start to worry, so I'm worrying.

Yeah, if this were midseason, no one would even notice. But you lose three games the first week of the season, and everyone's out to taunt ya. Let 'em have their fun while it lasts.

I come out of the nail salon at 7:30 and it's 5-0 Sox in the 2nd inning, so ChiSoxGirl pump her fist in her car at a stop light! I go home for dinner and by 8:30 or so, it's a 6-6 game. Garland had that one bad inning that he managed to avoid pretty much all of last season, which wasn't at all helped by Ozuna's misplay in left.

I just got a call from my uncle in San Diego who's at the Padres game and was watching the out-of-town scoreboard intently. He called to tell me to relax and remind me it's the 4th game of the season. Coming from arguably the biggest dark cloud I know, I decided to heed his advice... after I make this post, of course!

While I've frequently hucked the remote into the couch and said the MF word over the years thanks to the Sox and the 2005 Packers, the real temptress in the house is the customized Louisville Slugger bat given to my wife and I for our wedding from my best man that leans against a chair in our living room at all times. More than once I've contemplated the fact that our TV was free and is over 10 years old while looking at that bat...
