Geez, Lip. Didn't you break something the other day too when Logan gave up that bomb to Hafner? I just turn the game off when it gets that bad. Example: About the eighth inning tonight.

Actually, I don't give a **** about this loss, because there's a sale at Penny's.

From the official post-game story by Scott Merkin on whitesox.com:

"The five-run fourth actually could have been limited to one run if not for Emil Brown's fly ball to Pablo Ozuna in left field turning into a double."

Interesting choice of words.....

Although in fairness he does make two references to the wind causing most of those runs.

Last July with Garland on the mound the Sox also pissed away a five run lead. I think Gload had a big error to cause it.

Like I said the Royals gave the Sox hell the second half of last season and that is apparently continuing.

Moaning here is therapy. It beats messing up the house or punching a door.

How can the film be at 11 when the news is at 11?

"Although, so far there's no known treatment for corpseball's crippling effects, still everyone can acquaint himself with the three early warning signs of corpseball: one, rigor mortis; two, blowing a six run lead; three, occasional drowsiness."

2 out of 3 against any team is a good series. You can't expect perfection. Ofcourse they have to win 2 of the games still.

Guys, Cleveland is ok, but this isn't the greatest division in the history of team sports that everyone is making it out to be. We used our real lineup ONCE, and kicked Cleveland's ass. CC is hurt for them, the Twins after Santana don't scare me, and as someone said earlier, the Tigers and Royals are gonna be under .500 sooner or later as well. The starters can't get any worse, and we played two HORSE**** games in a row and BARELY lost to the superior Indians in extra innings, and scored 7 runs tonight. Yes, the starters have sucked and Ozuna and Gload don't belong anywhere near an outfield. We're a little shorthanded right now but I'm still confident.

JB:

I said I almost took out the TV but didn't because of the expense. A door on the other hand.....let's just say that at times I can have a real nasty temper. I've never physically attacked anyone but there are a lot of doors and such that don't care much for me.

Fortunately I've never broken my hand (yet)

Christ Lip, if you're a Bears fan too, you must have done considerable work on your house over the last 20 years.

"How does it feel to be 3 games behind us after only 4 games?

I think Ozzie will use this fact and point to last year as reason enough to get it in gear, fast! It's not easy to make up ground when you get yourself 10 plus games out of first. Not saying that is what is going to happen, but it could in this division.

I've still got marks on a closet from a 1995 series against the Tribe. Fernandez and Alverez didn't come to play that year. I hope these guys didn't get fat off of last year's success.
