I agree that Ozuna was brutal and I'd have liked to see Pods in there. I said Dye was hurt, and its a day game tomorrow so resting AJ isn't a bad thing.

Looks like a long night in the parking lot. I think I could pull out a dumb question or two.

I hate dumb questions in April

"We had a windy problem in the outfield."

"What is it?"

"It's the portion of the baseball field between the infield and the wall, but that's not important right now."

Sorry, I don't know where to find a pic of Julie Haggerty.

they obviously didn't have any trouble on offense tonight, unlike the lack of clutch hitting on wednesday's game. it's not time to start freaking out, although they are playing sloppy baseball, this is still a good team.

Well, putting on my "keep some perspective" hat on, I agree with all those crusty old baseball folks who say that you don't really know what kind of team you have until you've play about 40 games.

But man, this team has a ton of talent, and this division isn't the NL West. Pissing away games like this just makes me sad.

The team scored only two runs when the pitcher wasn't leaking down his pants' leg. The offense still isn't there yet. And the pitching ...

A long long time ago
I can still remember how Nancy's music made me smile
And I knew if the Sox had the chance
That all the fans would really dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But April made me shiver
With every pitch they'd deliver
Bad news on Jerry's doorstep
Ozzie couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if Judy cried
When I read about him as the Royals bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day Smart Ball died

So, bye-bye, Merry White Sox Pride
Drove my chevy to the levee
Cus the dark clouds were alive
And Farmer and Rooney were drinkin' whiskey and rye
Singin' this'll be the day Smart BalI died
This'll be the day Smart Ball died

Any thread with lots of Airplane! references can't be all bad.

Of course I'm more of a Kentucky Fried Movie sort of guy.

That's what I want to know. Garland and Garcia were hitting 93-96 on the gun last year, and now they can't hit 90. That really contributed to their dominance last year. Jose didn't have his good stuff on Wednesday either. This pitiful play is making me very angry.

At least bandwagon jumpers might be saying "Mayday!" sooner rather than later...
