Default Dumb Sox Fans 4/5

So I am minding my own business watching the ninth inning when all of the sudden I start hearing bye bye multiple times. I look up and here is this little guy and this fairly larger(and by larger I mean taller and at least 50 on this little guy) guy in each others face. I am not sure what was going on but all I heard repeatedly was bye bye bye bye bye bye. Very annoying. Next thing I know they are in each others face. On comes security...and it was a throw down. We are not talking about 1 or 2 guards we are talking about 5 or 6. They slam this guy to the ground and on comes his friend. The basically toss him over the bleacher seat and here comes 2 other guys. One of them try to bit the security guards(real mature). After about 2 guys on base...a single and a walk they finally get these 4 guys in handcuffs. This poor little bugger had beer spilled on him and even better on his head. Guards being bit and guys being wrestled to the ground. So anyways...here is the link to my pics. This was too good to not take a pic. I mean come on...I believe that people pay good money to see a game without drama and people acting like fools.

Also I had some dumb guy who decided they were going to smoke in the seats. Some guy asked him nicely to put it out since there was no smoking and the guy got irate and was like you want to see a trophy smashed on the ground and repeated it. He was then going to throw his rep trophy onto the field. Cool guy was drunk before the game even started.

I find it a little ridiculous that people have absolutely no sense.

This was too dumb to not snap a few pics of the morons, There is also some more pics of the trophy ceremony. Feel free to enjoy.

We were watching the fight all way over in 112. We figured the one guy was super drunk to fight off what looked to be 6-8 security guys (off-duty Chicago police). When he got real bad, I told my seatmates that he was trying to get upgraded to a felony. I think he was successful.

Yep, I was in section 102 watching it. The sad part everyone seemed more interested in the fight than the game, and if Im not wrong it was the 9th inning when this happened? Either way, this is why I dont like sitting in the outfield too often, too many drunks and I always see at least one fight, usually in the left field bleachers as well.

I saw this from section 533. It appeared they had to call in extra reinforcements. There were easily 15 to 18 white-jacketed Sox security guys. My eyes aren't that good, but it looked like a scary situation at one point because they had enough security there, but because the aisle is so narrow, the additional security help couldn't make it down to do anything...they were just stuck at the top.

Unfortunately, this is the price that gets paid for larger crowds. The moron
quotient tends to go up. I just hope that nothing really big happens that
will put fights like this on the front page again- although if this stuff has
gone on in all three games so far, it is bound to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that larger crowds are coming out, but
something is bound to hit the front pages, and Greeley, the windsock
and the rest will be salivating.

There was able 8 - 10 guards. It was madness. Half our section couldnt watch the game just in case we had a body flipped over at us like the one guy did. It was ridiculous and a disgrace. Hopefully some of these people will start to ween out a bit after these past few games.

Exactly. That's what drives me nuts. I've had fights brake out around me at tons of games and it's alway at a critical part of the game. When that happens, it seems like 90% of the people in the area lose complete interest in the game, which means everyone is keeping me from seeing the game because they won't sit their asses down.

I would say a fight/brawl in your vicinity is a compelling distraction. For you're own safety, you want to make sure you are out of the line of fire.

We were the next section over-- probbly the craziest fight I'e ever seen there. That little guy would not go down easy. And he looked like he was about 11. That fan with his back to your camera in the black Sox hoodie helped wrestle his arms into the cuffs. I don't think the security would have been able to handle them if that guy didn't jump in. There were security guards falling all over the place....

But honestly, was there really anything to watch but terrible baseball?

My tickets are in Sec 160 and saw this yesterday. The thing that bothers me is, granted I looked too for a moment, but people are WAY more interested in the fights then the game. Everyone stands up and then you can't see the field.

I was in Sec 150. I was trying to watch both the fight and the game. Unfortunately, Politte went 3-0 on the batter while the fight was going on, so the fight won out. More exictement. I could see if maybe bases were loaded with Thome up, then everybody would be watching the game.
