Default World Series Bobble Heads

Seriously, they suck! With the exception of Rowand's distinctive face & beard, none of the 2005 World Series Bobble Heads look anything like Sox players.

It's as if MLB scrambled to reassemble them after the Sox' unexpected World Series win, and had to use pre-existing bobble heads. You could almost make a game of it.

SOX PLAYER = WHO HE REALLY LOOKS LIKE
Jon Garland = Eric Hinske
Mark Buehrle = Bronson Arroyo
Jermaine Dye = Barry Bonds
Jose Contreras = a demon (red eyes! )

The Ozzie Guillen doll... I can't even figure out who that resembles. Come on MLB, couldn't you have tried any harder?

Looks like a white guy with a mullet...that's hilarious. I wonder who designed these things.

I seriously did not know who that was until I saw Guillen at the bottom.

Looks like Jeff Goldblum to me.

I mentioned this in another thread. Ozzie's looks like Neil Cotts if he was from Venezuela.

Nothing like a good stadium give away at the park. We better have one this year after getting none last year.

Another beef: I'd look sideways and order the four horsemen...except for the fact that MLB only offers THREE horsemen!

Contreras, Buehrle, Garland... Where the **** is the Garcia bobble head?

Pathetic... this really pisses me off...

The bobbleheads that were given away at games between 2001-2004 in most cities were made by Alexander Global Productions (AGP). The bobbles being offered on mlb.com are produced by Forever Collectibles (who also made an All-Star White Sox set in 2003 too w/ Buehrle, Koch, etc.). The quality between the two different brands is pretty vast. The AGP product is just much more detailed and nicer looking, and the figures are usually made of porcelain. The Forever Collectibles seem to be made of plastic and look more generic.

This is exactly the reason I didn't purchase any. I was interested in buying the Ozzie one, until I saw a picture of it.....nice effort MLB

Looks like they used some left over Ichiro dolls and painted them over. Wack!

Any chance AGP has plans to make some too? I suppose you have to have the rights to it or something....
