After thinking that it would be Jeter, I am convinced that MLB will make sure that Matsui will win the spot. Otherwise, the international homerun contest will be lacking and they'd have to invite him anyway.

I will vote my fair share of times, but it will be next to imposible to take out Jeter. ESPN.com is begging the fans to get the vote out for Jeter with it being the lead story on their homepage. It says....


"David Ortiz got the most love. Derek Jeter did not. Jeter could still be voted onto the American League All-Star roster, but he needs help from the Final Man ballot to reach Detroit."


What a joke.
