Birmingham's game was suspended after 1 inning, with Tracey (6-2, 3.23) leading 2-1. The game will resume.

Winston-Salem lost a tough one 2-1 and slipped back to 2 games out of 1st place. Haeger started and had a strong outting: 7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 3 SO, 2.93. Ovalles (2-2) allowed the winning run in the bottom of the 9th.
Daigle: 1-4, solo homer (14), .286

Kanny lost 5-3 as Little dropped to 3-3, 3.53.
Berry: 2-5, R, 2 2B, RBI, .279
De Los Santos: 1-5, R, 2B, RBI, .286
Lucy: 1st game 0-4, .000

It is definitely time for Gload to come up. Get Timo out of there.

No doubt about it Gload can hit but Ozzie has said Gload stays in Charlotte until he shows he can play the outfield effectively.

I saw that, but it doesn't make any sense for at least 3 reasons:
- Gload is not being asked to play the OF at Charlotte.
- The Sox don't need Gload to play the OF.
- Timo can't play 1B and barely can play the OF, but he's still got a roster spot.

FWIW, Gload DH-ed last night and hit the ball hard. He's ready.
