There was an article in the Sun-Times today about Carillo. It says he throws upper 90's and has a "70-grade" curveball. The paper pointed out, since I had no clue what that meant, that it is the highest rating scouts give to a pitch.

I really haven't been following the draft but it sounds like the guy has some good stuff.

Just an FYI...

Typically, scouts use a 20-80 grading scale with 80 being the highest rating.

After looking at the final mock draft at BA, I saw Hansen was way down, 26 to the Red Sox, and thought the same thing, but I believe he is a Boras client. I was all in favor of drafting a Boras client this year since we have no second round pick, but past track record with this guy is just too hard to over look. We just don't sign high round, Boras clients. Getting Hansen though, would be like making a trade without giving up anything. Everything I have seen and read about he kid, indicates he is MLB ready towards the end of the season.
