The Knights should be under way shortly. Frank is back in the lineup, batting 3rd in front of Anderson, Gload, Burke, and Borchard. Person takes the hill again with a 8.51 ERA.

Frank is 0-2 so far, but he tied the game "small ball" style with an RBI groundout to the right side. Liefer subsequently un-tied it with a long 2-run HR off of Person.
Anderson is 1-2. Spidale 1-2, 2B, R. B'ham under way. Rogo and Stewart with the only hits so far. Whisler got his first start since returning to W-S. It's scoreless through the 1st inning. Schnurstein again at 2B with Amador in CF. Harrell on the bump for Kanny. The Intimidators are up 1-0 in the 3rd. |

Charlotte (and Person) ended up winning 5-4.
Borchard was the HERO: 2-4, 2B, 4 RBI, .207(!) Birmingham beat Tennessee 1-0, the lone run, a Rogowski HR, his 5th. Rogo is red hot and putting up some power numbers: 3-3, 2B, HR, .331. Lubisich improves to 6-3, 3.21 Reynoso: 1 IP, 2 SO, 1.35 Jenks: 1 IP, 2 SO, 2.48, SV(11) Winston-Salem lost 5-4, though Whisler had a decent start. Whisler: 5 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO, 3.72 Wasserman: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 0.00 and he was hung with his first loss (0-1). Lee: 3-4, 2B, HR(4), 2 RBI, .392 Kannapolis lost 7-3, Harrell slips to 1-5, 3.89 De Los Santos: 2-5, 2B, RBI, .301 Hernandez: 1-4, HR(4), .211

Frank finished up 0-2, but with 2 BB and the aforementioned RBI.
Anderson and Spidale were both 1-4. Gload was 1-3, BB, 2 R. Burke doubled, walked twice, and scored. Rogo en fuego -- now .331/.399/.531 with 9 SB. That doesn't bode well for the FOW. Looks like the D (or lack thereof) lost it for W-S (3 errors). The other CLee none the worse for wear after a long layoff. Hansen 2-5, 2B for Kanny. Smith 2-3, 2B, BB, R. Cook 1-2 with 3 BB, bringing his AVE up to .300. |
