Villacis is really rewarding the Sox faith in him when they put him on the 40 man instead of Wing.

I was at the first game last night at Norfolk and the day game today; had box seats on the third base side.
A few observations: - Jon Adkins lost a lot of weight since last year...he looks pretty good, and pitched out of a few jams last night. - Joe Borchard is still Joe Borchard. - Brandon McCarthy is freakin' huge. - I'm impressed with Brian Anderson. - Quite a few fans at Norfolk knew who Brian Anderson was...he signed a lot of bats for kids. One note: I hung around for autographs after each game. Joe Borchard was really cool, and signed for me right after game one on Saturday night. He could have told me to bugger off. All of the others said please wait until after the game. Today, I waited out by the Knight's bus and got the following sigs: Brian Anderson (well, he actually signed in the dugout) Jon Adkins Greg Norton Josh Stewart Brandon McCarthy Kevin Walker John Stephens Overall, good bunch. I was one of three guys getting sigs from the Knights players, so I had no problems at all. I have a pennant I got at New Comiskey Park in 1992 that Robin Ventura signed, so I had everyone add to it. Cheers!

Is this Blakely at AA a prospect? I've never heard of him, but I noticed they showed he has 7 homers already this year during the Sox broadcast.

Welcome back, Wes Whisler. Russell's yet another Sox pitcher who will be awesome if he can consistently throws strikes. |

Hope to see Wes back in the rotation soon. Was hoping for a big year, development-wise from him. |
