I don't mean to step on anyone's toes by starting this thread. I just checked the minor league box scores.
Birmingham 13 Tennessee 2 Owens 3 for 6, 2 runs scored Young 3 for 5, 3 runs scored Fields, 3 for 6, 2 runs scored, 5 RBI ! Fields did commit his 4th error on an errant throw.

Don't worry Doc, you're not stepping on toes. Glad to see somebody get it going as I wasn't aware the Barons were playing a day game. Nice to see them bash out 17 hits. In addition to what you posted, Blakely was 4-6 with a double and 2 homers, 5 RBI. Lubisich, now 4-0, 3.00 ERA.

Charlotte lost 7-2 to Norfolk. Phillips, the starter and loser. Munoz with 2 scoreless innings (3.31). Anderson, 2-4, R, .319.
Borchard Watch: This just gets uglier & uglier. 0-3, BB, K, .155. A little side note: Brian Daubach, playing for Norfolk homered and leads the International Lg. with 7 HR and with 24 RBI. He's also batting .368. Winston-Salem lost 7-4, R. Rodriguez with the loss (3-1, 5.31). Valido: 0-3, BB, R, .329. Schnurstein: 1-2, 2 BB, 2 RBI, .311. Kannapolis also lost, 5-2 with Russell slipping to 0-2, 4.09. Kannapolis only managed 3 hits (Hernandez, Kelly and Smith). |
