Birmingham won 4-1. Bullard improved to 2-1, 3.46 ERA. Fields hit his 1st homer and is batting .300. Rogo, 1-3, .350. The Barons have won 6 in a row to improve to 8-3 and are 1/2 game out of 1st. Winston-Salem won 8-5 and pounded out 15 hits. Collaro hit his 3rd homer, Schnurstein his 1st. Haigwood evened his record at 1-1, 2.81 ERA. Wasserman got his 4th Save. So far this season, 6G, 5.1 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 7 SO, 0.00 ERA. Kannapolis lost 2-1. g. Hansen fell to 0-3, 5.02 ERA. Since scoring 17 in a win against Asheville, Kannapolis has scored 1 in the last 2 games combined.

- Hansen's full line was 6 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 H, 4 BB, 6 K; Little and Zaleski followed with 2 scoreless innings. - Lamura and Reynoso pitched in relief of Bull and combined for 4 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 5 K. - Schnurstein was 3-for-5, and Nanita was 1-for-3 with 2 BB and a Run. - Pretty good day for the SSs. In addition to Valido's hot bat, Lopez went 2-for-3 with a HR (!), and Gonzalez was 1-for-2 with a BB, Run, and RBI. |
