Not far off? That's pretty optimistic as Josh hasn't even played above A-Ball. If he can put a solid season together in Birmingham this year, then he might be ready to take over the starting job in 2007. But 2006? I highly doubt it, unless he turns out to be the next Albert Pujols.

I don't think it's that far fetched. He really came on strong last year and could be a September call-up this year. I just hope he has made the appropriate defensive strides.

Many players make the jump from AA to the majors, so a full season in AA plus winter ball plus spring, he could be ready for 2006 if he progresses quickly and has a big year. I certainly am not going to say that it will happen, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Again, if Crede has a good year, like I happen to think he will, then you either sign Crede to a 2-3 year deal and move Fields to first to replace Konerko, or you trade Crede.
