Why can't/doesn't the media stand up to Dusty?
Anyone with a brain can see that Dusty Baker is an idiot. Why can't the local media. Of course, I can understand how that question should really be part of the "Dumb Question" series, but it is one that boggles the minds of anyone with an IQ. They're all afraid to call Baker on anything, most of the time! And if someone does prompting Baker to bristle at them, the other reporters giggle like the little girls that they are.

The entertainment value is definitely part of it. Also in the two seasons that Dusty Baker has managed in Chicago they have two winning seasons. It's kinda hard to really harshly criticize someone when the team is winning. The only time you can is during a losing streak, like Steve Stone did at the end of last season. And of course look what happened to him.

Its amazing how the Media will embrace you and look the other way ...
if your a cub. Its amazing how the Media will go the extra mile .......to say your great .... if your a cub. Its amazing how the Media will take what is quite obvious, and pretend they dont see it .........if your a cub. Its amazing how the Media will do its best ......to get you in the Hall of Fame ... if your an ExCub. Its amazing how the Media will pursue free agents and players under contract, on the cubs behalf .... if your the Cubs. Tells you how SHALLOW and YELLOW the Chicago Media really is. Bakers comments to Chanel 7's sports reporter "the Professor", were Uncalled for and he COMPLETELY DODGED THE QUESTION. what did he know about Bonds and steroids? Baker instead angrily questions the reporters marital integrity ........ and the Chicago Media unprofessionally Laughed Giddily .........because hes a cub. What a load of BS .........

Q: Why cant the Media stand up to Dusty Baker & the Cubs?
A: The Tribune Corporation Owns the cubs in a clear conflict of interest. The Media loves the Cubs simply put, and they will stop at nothing to make sure they are portrayed as the best team ever. The most tradition. the best ballpark. etc etc
