First I've heard ANY news like this, doesn't surprise me, they rushed him back last season and will pay the price, same goes for "Woods".

I wouldn't be surprised if Prior ends up with another mysterious injury like last year and is not ready for the start of ST. But I'm sure he will still win the NL Cy Young.

As much as I would love for something to be wrong with his arm, I would question the legitimacy of this until it's reported in more than just once place.

Probably true since I drafted him in Keeper League II. I knew I shouldn't have drafted a Scrub.

The shade HomeFish used was to imply optimism and wishful thinking as opposed to sarcasm.

I emailed the author and he responded with the following info from the Rotoworld draft guide:

"It wasn't the worst-case scenario, but Prior was limited to 21 starts
last year after hurting his Achilles' tendon and his elbow in spring
training. He aggravated the elbow in July, and although he finished
strong, it didn't seem that he was ever truly 100 percent. The biggest
fear heading into 2005 is that he could be pitching with a partially
torn elbow ligament that will eventually require Tommy John surgery. If
healthy, Prior might be as valuable as any pitcher in baseball this
season. He's talented enough to win 18-20 games and rival Randy Johnson
in every other category. However, he's going to be very expensive and
there's just no way to tell what condition his elbow is in. Unless he's
absolutely lights out this spring, he'll be someone to stay away from."

Don't take it at face value though because I havent seen this anywhere else, but definitely file it away for reference.

Yeah, thats my cardinal rule in fantasy baseball...never draft a sCrUB, you might have to cheer for him then.
