I'm polling you guys about both the Sox and Cubs (Sox is under Clubhouse).
Pretty simple poll, as of right now, where do you see the Cubs finishing? This is their projected starting lineup (nothing official I just threw it together); 1) Corey Patterson - CF 2) Nomar Garciapara - SS 3) Aramis Ramirez - 3B 4) Derek Lee - 1B 5) Sammy Sosa - RF 6) Todd Hollandsworth - LF 7) Michael Barrett - C 8) Todd Walker - 2B 9) Pitcher ...starting rotation; 1) Mark Prior 2) Kerry Wood 3) Greg Maddux 4) Carlos Zambrano 5) Glendon Rusch |

Second, and not to disrespect your post, but who cares? That's just how I feel. Let them exist in their own perfect world. I only think about them 6 days a year. Thirteen if the unthinkable ever happens (actually ten, I'm sure we'd sweep).

I care. I'm a baseball fan and I watch Cubs baseball. I loved the atmosphere and their announcers. Don't get me wrong, while I'm watching I am cheering AGAINST them, but it's fun.

I think with Carlos Lee, the Brewers are going to take the division. At least I hope so...anyways, Cubs take 2nd. (The first losers
).

they still havent fixed the 2 problems- speed and the bullpen. you would think that having a bullpen that has absolutely killed you for 2 years now would propell you towards fixing it.......but no. hell, even kenny would fix it.

As of right now I think they finish 2nd behind the cards. If the 'stros resign beltran expect Roger to also comeback and I'd say the flubs drop down to 3rd in the nl central, jmo.

The team chemistry stinks like rotten eggs and Dusty is rusty. They will self-destruct.

The bullpen is worse than it was last year with the loss of Merker. If Hawkins is the closer for a full year, they are in trouble. That starting staff is excellent. However the loss of Alou will be significant. Hollandsworth is a good bench player but I expect his numbers to dip significantly in full time status.
They will again finish in 2nd place and fight for a wild card spot. |

First, Second, third or fourth, with a much better chance at finishing second than 1st, 3rd or 4th. The Cards are just too strong despite losing Womack, Matheny and Renteria. They didnt change much and can win 100 games again with Mulder in the fold and a healthy Matt Morris. If the Astros get Beltran AND Clemens, then I would say they could be 2nd, but otherwise I dont see it. The Brew Crew might make a surprise run. The Cubs wont finish worse than 4th under any circumstances that are currently foreseeable. If I had to pick one, I'd say 2nd is the most likely with a very good chance at the Wild Card
