I saw a stat the other day about him and blown saves. His save percentage is horrible when attempting 1-run saves. And that is the stat that gave me hope in the top of the 9th--and Hawkins didn't disappoint.

Post Gary Kid!

Wasn't Hawkins dogging Sox Fans and Billy Koch earlier this season? What comes around goes around.

I just saw the highlights on the Ch. 7 news (I'd never watch the Cubs on TV) and they showed Sosa do his silly little "hop" and then flied out to the wall. LOL! Now they're tied with the Astros, and a half game back of SF, with those two teams both still yet to play tonight. Its getting interesting again!

The cubbie troll in my office came by when the score was 2-1 cubs. I told him that if it was still 2-1 in the 9th, the cubs would lose, because Hawkins always blows one-run leads. Haven't seen the troll since then.

I thought he was defending Koch but the media messed up the context when they asked Koch about it.

Normally when a closer blows a save I would say he Koched the save.

Just lately it's becoming so common I might have to change it to say he pulled a Hawkins!
