How is the DH determined in AAA?

Isn't it just like the DH everywhere else? You can use it for who you want if you want.

I will rephrase. In AAA, a national league affiliate is hosting an american league affiliate and both teams use a DH. The next game the same national league affiliate is hosting a national league team and a DH is used again. Does this mean that in the minors they use the DH in everygame? Do any pitchers bat when in the minors? Is it decided by the league they are in?

The DH in the Minor Leagues is used in all games where an American League affiliate is playing. The pitchers only hit in games where two NL affiliated teams are playing.

I've been to plenty of NL affiliate games were the pitchers never batted (Indianapolis Indians, the AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers)

Both teams have to be NL affiliates, not just one.
