Surfin' the rookie league stats...
- Javier Castillo, Bristol SS, .317 through 101 ABs. Leading club in HRs (5) and tied for doubles (6). You can never have too many shortstops who can hit. - Jose De Los Santos, Bristol DH, .371 through 105 ABs. No home runs and only one walk. Will have to keep hitting .371 to have value. - Evan Tartaglia, Bristol OF. Leads off, bats left. Batting .301 through 93 ABs with 24 walks and 10 SB. On the down side, has 26 strikeouts. - Boomer Berry, Great Falls 2B. Bats left. An unimpressive .271 through 96 ABs, and very little power, but 17:10 K:BB ratio. - Josh Hansen, Great Falls 1B. Only 51 ABs, but batting .314 with 13:9 K:BB ratio and 7 extra-base hits. - Sony Suarez, Great Falls SP. Pitched in the organization last year, and pitched pretty well, but I haven't heard anyone talk about him. 3-1, 3.52 through 30.2 innings. 26 hits allowed, 13 walks, 30 strikeouts. - Matt Zaleski, Great Falls RP. 13.2 innings, 1 walk, 16 strikeouts. The 19 hits are a problem. - Luis Pena, Bristol RP. 15.2 IP, 7 H, 6 BB, 19 SO, leading to a 1.72 ERA and a 2-0 record. |
