HOW MUCH DO YOU HATE THE CUBS?
FOR ME, IT'S WITH ALL MY HEART. I'M PART OF THE CUBS SUCK CLUB and I do not buy any products that support the cubs. How about you?

Let me just put it this way... if Wrigley Field burned to the ground, I don't think I'd ever be able to stop laughing.

It's not the franchise so much that bothers me, it's all the obnoxious bandwagon-jumpers that piss me off. Wrigley is obviously a special place to see a game; no question about that. Players come and go; yeah, the Cubs have Sosa, but we once had Albert Belle, you know? Like I said in other posts, most cradle Cub fans, though misguided, don't try to shove the Cubs down your throat. It's all these loud, young peckerwoods, most of whom probably weren't even born in Chicago, that infest the ballpark these days; people who don't understand the game and generally go there simply to party and to be seen. And yes, the Chimp is also insufferable, but it looks like the Cubs might have the good sense to launch his sorry ass after the season. And we also have Chicago's #1 Cub fan, Jay Marriotti; no further explanation required. So I guess there are several reasons why I, a native North Sider, discovered the truth early and stayed there to this day. Go Sox!

Every Sox fan should hate the Cubs. It's part of being a Sox fan. I remember I was once on here reading and some guy was saying he likes both. Personally I think that's just wrong.

I'm pretty sure the majority of baseball fans are fans of both teams. But recently they tend to lean towards the Cubs for obvious reasons.

i hate them...i'm a sox fan...to me, you can't be both.
was there people during the civil war actually rooting for both sides? no...you were either union or confederate. we are looked down upon as a baseball team...the city of chicago (the parent) has two children (sox and cubs). we seem to be the bastard child who was conceived in a back alley of one of the bad neighborhoods while the cubs are the yuppy pricks up there in boystown. i've always said though, that there's one thing i hate more than the cubs...and that is cubs fans...especially bandwagon cubs fans...the ones who go to wrigley to drink, socialize, and take pictures because it's such a "cool" place. but then again, there are no such thing as cubs fans...there are wrigley fans.

This is a Hatfields and Mccoys thing.sCrUBs fans don't like us,we hate them, too. At least most of them.I met one last Sunday who bought me a beer.I politely refused,as I don't drink beer.I didn't catch his name, but if he's ever at Sox Park again,I owe him one.He was the sole voice of sanity in sCrUBbie blue.

I was born and raised a sox fan. My grandpa lived on the South Side, and he used to always go to the games. I am a ture sox fan, altough i dont know that much about the history. I am a huge anti-cubs fan. I hate them so much. Every thing that happens to them, including sosa, i just f---ing hate them. And their fans too. I cant stand talking to them. Theyre so annyoing! Jesus Christ! I tell them that the sox are better becuase theyve betean them more times, and they bring up, "SOSA HIT A HOME RUN" or "WOW THEIRE RECORD IS WAY BETTER" I just cant stand them. I HATE THEM ALL!
Let me add that theyre "suckers" too. (the scrubs)

The topic of this thread asks the question, "How much do you hate the Cubs?" Well, let me put it to you this way: I'm not sure I could root for the Cubs if they were playing al-Qaeda. In terms of baseball, you're either with me or you're against me. And if you're with the Sox, then I'm right there with you. There's no sitting on the fence allowed at my house. |

I've hated them all my life because I was brought up that way by my dad. But this past October, my hatred skyrocketed for the team on the other side of town due to all of the bandwagon fans and the love and attention they got from the "balanced" Chicago media sources. I hate seeing all these freshly new cubs hats and jerseys. I take pride in the fact that the white sox logo on my hat isn't white anymore because of all the dirt that has gotten into it from wearing it every day for years, win or lose. Seeing all of the cell phone idiots at the urinal on TV bug the heck out of me and I hate and cannot believe how the morons still celebrate Sosa. Yesterday's huge banner in the bleachers that said "Wrigley Field is Heaven and Sammy Sosa is God" almost made me hurl. And I cannot believe those morons could badmouth OUR announces when they have the likes of Chip Caray and RON FREAKIN SANTO! Are the cubs and their fans lovable? heck no. are they both losers? YES!
