Default Awwwww.....

This is such a touching scene:

The caption for it?

" Seattle Mariners catcher Miguel Olivo and pitcher Eddie Guardado hug each other after beating the Texas Rangers 4-3 Tuesday May 29, 2004, in Seattle. "

I kid you not. At least we know he has a friend over there.

I suspect (hope?) we can all get over Olivo after Fast Freddy pitches tonight. Can't remember a Sox player who caused this much emotion with his departure. It's been like having your puppy run away.

That's his White Sox helmet he's holding there.

I like Olivo, but this outpouring of emotion is getting ridiculous. He's a good catcher with a lot of potential, but he's not the next Babe Ruth. Let's move on.

Now if Roger Clemens hugs Mike Piazza at the All-Star game that will be a story

I WISH we traded for garcia in may. nice to see that miguel is fitting in with his new teammates. too bad he's hugging an ex-twin in that picture!

When I saw that picture, I thought Guardado was either:

a) trying desperately to not be hugged
b) being held back from punching someone
c) having Miguel check out a mole or growth in the middle of his back

"Awww..." was about the last thing that crossed my mind.
