This was a good article.
I had the opportunity in Tucson to stand in the outfield with a glove while Joe was taking batting practice. I didn't catch anything, and some of the balls sailed over the fence anyway. While it was just batting practice, I was impressed with the way the ball jumped off his bat. I told Joe I went to the park to see his first game with the Sox last summer -- which was a 1-0 loss to the Tigers. He said he hopes he gets to stay up longer next time. He's a very cool kid, the sort everyone should want to see succeed. |

Great article.
It looks like the Sox seem to be handling him right, despite protests from fans (like myself) to promote him to the big leagues NOW. I would like nothing more than to see him become a middle of the order switch-hitting power threat.
