Dont' think this has much Sox implications. He's demanding a trade due to Aaron Sele's return. This pushes Ortiz to the bullpen.
He's got basically Garland's #'s so unless we feel he can be improved four over Garland then move ol' Cool Breeze to the bullpen he's not coming here. The only way we would be interested is if he was willing to do a Schoenweiss, where we could guarantee a shot as a starter next year. At 3 million a year I don't think the Sox would be very interested.

Ortiz actually WAS in the bullpen till Sele got hurt, but the Angels just got Donnelly and Percival back so Oritz I think is the odd man out both in the rotation AND the bullpen.
