"Colorado is ready to dump nearly everybody except Todd Helton and Jason Jennings. The list of veterans the Rockies have put on the market includes Preston Wilson, Larry Walker, Charles Johnson, Shawn Estes, Jeff Fassero, Todd Greene, Royce Clayton, Denny Hocking and Steve Reed. . . .
. . . Detroit's Ugueth Urbina could be the next closer traded. Don't rule out the White Sox. . . . " http://chicagosports.chicagotribune....=cs-columnists |

More interesting is the possibility of bringing back Clayton!

Also saw in that article that Carl Pavano and Alyssa Milano broke up. Poor guy.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Charles Johnson back in a White Sox uniform. I think Ben Davis' days with the White Sox will be short-lived to say the least.

He's good friends with Ozzie and stayed at his house in Tuscon during spring training. Still I can't see Detroit trading him to a team in the division and they think they have a shot at .500 for the year.

He's only signed for this year. If they are willing to trade him they have made the determination that they are no longer in the race. Detroit signed him for the express purpose of trading him before August. They will give him to the highest bidder.
I would rather have someone who is more familiar and accepting of middle relief duty. Middle relievers are also more cost effective. Jason Grimsley was the guy I wanted but he is gone. |
