Like PHG said, sometimes you have to break an egg to make an omlette.

My gut feeling is that some people in the organization have been more than impressed with Jamie Burke's stints up here with the big club in the past year.

Worst. Trade. Ever.

I'm happy with this trade. I really liked Olivo, but you have to give up something.

Oh man, Olivo is a quality catcher. Why'd he have to do that??

Perhaps... Any other catchers available we can think of?

If it gets us to the WS, I think that would be okay too. But I don't like the trade, I just don't know that this is a deal that puts us over the top.

Apparently we also get cash, another example of trading prospects to keep payroll low, I guess.

Welcome aboard, Freddy.
I don't care if his ERA is 1. He has 4 wins to go with 7 losses in 15 starts. That sucks. Then you trade a franchise catcher, in an organization that has no catching depth, for 3 months of a headcase. Garcia is the Latin Jeff Weaver. Great stuff/10 Cent head. Great.

I hate this so much.

I could care less about Reed.

This trade will be costing the White Sox for the next decade !!! Jeremy Reed would make you forget Maggs as soon as he comes up.
