Willsy reporting this is why Olivo was taken out of the game today towards the end.

Willsy also reports that KW and Hahn were in the booth next to him and took off in the 7th to go make this official.

I'm in shock that Olivo is part of this. What are we doing for a #1 catcher? Burke? Lord knows Alomar can't handle the load.

Hey, you gotta give something to get something. We traded catching for pitching. Let's hope it pays off for us, because the catcher we just picked up is hitting -- hold on now -- .091.

Oh, man...

I feel as though KW overpaid... I don't mind giving up Jeremy Reed (as it's potential right now, even though indications said he'd be a solid player), but giving up on Olivo? He's already proven he's a great defensive catcher and he's swinging well, too...

dang it, olivo was turning into a really good player. now there's no reed to fill ordonez' place when he's gone, and garcia will be gone after 3 months anyway. all we'll have is a mediocre/lousy catcher.

this trade sucks. that takes the excitement out of this win. i'm gonna miss olivo a lot. that's a lot to give up for what we got. crap crap crap crap crap
