I just watched Robin Ventura pitch the 9th inning in the Angel's 13-0 blowout of the Dodgers.

His line: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R

he looked good. not Randy Johnson-good, but position player pitching-good. all three outs were flyouts.

Pitch 5 inns or a relief outing then move him to a position, it cant lose. I didnt see the game, what was he clocked at. I know faster than shingo but still...

Actually, the stadium gun clocked him at 89 and 90 when he threw his fastball. He was around 79 with the change. And then that Frizbee pitch (I think its a curveball) simply wasn't registering on the gun.
