There are candidates to go around. And someone please edit the poll to include Ross Gload, please.

I don't think this loss can be pegged against one person. Like VivaMagglio said...there's plenty of blame to go around...from no hitting, to defensive blunders. Garland once again starts out hot...and ends on a whimper. Will someone please get Jon some consistency...I hear it's on sale for 50% off this weekend only.

Ozzie has to get his share of this set of horns. Putting Gload in RF on a tough wind/sun day, when he's not top-notched fielder like Timo, is a boner.

We win as a team. We lose as a team. Everyone chipped in in losing this game. But Garland sticks out the most. I know the defense let him down (though part of that was his error) but he still has to get out of those jams. Good pitchers do. But this is typical Garland. One mistake and he's guaranteed to give up 4 runs.

This loss was a team effort. From leaving the bases loaded in the 1st, to fielding misplays, and Garland imploding in the 5th.
Talk about loosing ugly.

I don't know how anyone is pinning the loss on anyone except Uribe. Gload made an error that put Moises on second, but he didn't score. Uribe made an error that directly led to 3 runs. I knew Garland wouldn't be effective after Uribe's error. Sure enough, a walk and a 3 run HR. At the very least it would have been a 2 run HR, but I don't think even that would have happened.
I just can't see how anyone would pin this loss on Gload. If anyone would care to explain that to me, that would be great. |
