Default Three-way deal including Beltran, Dotel falls through

Here is the LINK.

If we can't get him, I hope at least Houston can!

Beane is hustling out there trying to get a closer for his A's. Would anyone be willing to give up Shingo for one of the Big Three?

Then who would close our games? Marte has been scary in that role when given the opportunity. I would make the trade for the sheer fact that the Big 3 are all studs and Shingo is 35 years old...but the trade would solve one problem while allowing an old problem to resurface.

True, but is the solution to one problem worth the hole in another? That is the question.

I dont think you can fleece beane into taking a 35 year old reliever for one of his top 3, all of whom are all stars. If beane is on crack and agrees to it, then do it. Starting pitching is way more valuable. If a guy can throw 9, there is no need for a closer
