Would you want Derek Lowe if available, and what is he worth?

I would want him baadly - if available of course. Not sure the BoSox what the BoSOx would want in return. To me, a halfyear of him might be worth Reed.

I think if the right deal came along he would be available. He's a FA and the Red Sox don't want to get left empty handed with Pedro leaving to. For the right price the Red Sox might be willing to give him up.

I would love to see him on the real sox but I don't think the red sox can afford to dump him when they're still in contention and pedro isn't being his normal self.

With the Carmines being contenders this year, I don't know why they would want to get rid of Lowe. He hasn't been as sharp as he has been in the past, but the guy is a competitor. The way he came out of the pen last year in the playoffs for the Red Sox after being a starting pitcher the game before...that was awesome.
Plus he got me a no-hitter in my 2002 fantasy league. |
