If we can't resign Maggs ...
If for some reason when can't resign Maggs before the deadline, how about this trade. I'm just putting this out there.
Maggs Politte or Cotts or Rauch or Jackson(we could hope) Mid level prospect Zito Dye Rhodes??? Dye could do a adequate job of replacing Maggs until Reed is ready Zito would give us a starter and Rhodes would give us relief in the pen Then we turn around and do the trade Gammons talked about, but sub Borchard for Reed. Hell if we could get someone to eat Paulie's contract and get a decent 1st baseman that would be great, or even just some prospects. Put Frank and first, with Gload relieving him and if Rowand keeps hitting as well as he's doing teach him to play first. Throw Jennings into the Fifth spot and Chacon and Schoeneweis in to the pen Rotation: Buehrle Loaiza Zito Garland Jennings Pen: Schoeneweis Chacon Wunsch (when healthy) Adkins Cotts/Politte/Jackson (who evers left) Marte Takatsu Line up: Harris Uribe Thomas Lee Dye Konerko Valentin Crede Olivo/Alomar

But KW has already promised that Maggs will be here the rest of the year. Don't you trust KW?
