Carlton Fisk at Shea for Mike Piazza Night

Pudge Fisk made an appearance at Shea Stadium last night for Mike Piazza Night, a curious mid-season tribute to the man who broke Fisk's record for most HRs by a catcher. Gary Carter, Johnny Bench, Yogi Berra and Lance Parrish were also on hand. Piazza made some nice remarks, singling out Ivan Rodriguez as the man who will likely break Piazza's own record. It was a freakin lovefest, really. The fraternity of MLB catchers seem pretty respectful to one another.

Later, Fisk dropped by the Warner Brothers TV booth to give Tommy Seaver some noogies and show off his tan. Fisk looks like anything but an old New Englander. He was dressed like a man who might sell patio furniture in Florida.
