Those who bemoan sponsership of practically everything connected to a sporting event and harken back to the "good old days" when it was just plain sports ought to take note of this: ESPN classic ran Game 7 of the 1952 World Series this morning. "In the first inning Mel Allen said "Stepping up to the Gileete microphone... Red Barber."
