Wendell Kimm blew yet another game for the Cubs tonight with horrific coaching at third base. With runners on the corners and one out for the Flubs in the sixth, Moises Alout flare to center that was caught by Edmonds, Kimm sent Macias to tag up. Macias was subsequently out by nearly ten feet, ending the inning. Thank God Cora hasn't been that bad yet. Wendell Kimm may be the worst third base coach I've ever seen. He helped the Sox win one at Wrigley last year and he seems to have no concept as to when it is a good idea to send a runner. Sox fans would have killed him by now. And you thought Billy was bad.

In Boston, he was known as "Wave 'em in Kimm", or simply, "The Windmill."

he waved the winning run home, with the Cubs winning 2-1. The next day Rick Telander wrote one of the most maudlin, barf-inducing articles I have ever read by a sportswriter. (And being that he writes for the same paper as Jay Mariotti, that is saying quite a bit.) It talked about how Kim cried tears of joy, happiness and "vindcation" after the win. Isn't that sweet? Doesn't it touch your heart? So while the rest of Chicago calls him "waving Wendell" I prefer to call him "weeping Wendy."

He's a Dusty guy, though; same with Sarge and Clines and Sonny Jackson. This is one sorry coaching staff.

This guy must easily get the most TV time for any 3rd base coach in the league---and thats not a good thing, cuz they only show you when you screw up. He's terrible.
