Thats a nice column. But you didn't mention the one fact that I got from it. The american league has very few excellent second baseman. It seems that year after year there is only one, Roberto Alomar. Just because year after year Durham is in the top 5 does not mean he is good, it just means that after Alomar there are not any excellent second baseman.
Now everyone has career years and even Alomar had one or two bad ones. But Alomar is the best and nobody else even comes close.

Including Ray Durham.
