Default brent mayne?

filed for FA today. if sandy isnt brought back, mayne would be a good catcher to bring aboard with olivo.

Isn't that the name of an ESPN SportsCenter anchor?

Is there a catcher with the same name? Where did he play?

there was a brent mayne who was a ESPN anchor. Brett Mayne plays baseball. Subtle difference.

Im pretty sure he played for the Royals, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now

He did. He actually played for KC twice. He was with the Mets in between.

If we want a veteran to back up Olivo, I do believe Gregg Zaun is your man. But there are a lot more important things ahead of "back-up catcher" on the agenda.
