Guess they think that old Metrodome magic will continue. Newsflash to them: The Twins played for their jobs last year & to avoid contraction. While I'll never take them lightly, I seriously doubt they can take that momentum any further this year, & letting go the one guy who gave the Sox power fits (Ortiz) is gone. Maybe I'm the only one, but I expect a HUGE letdown from the Twinkies this year! And with that being said: GO SOX!!!

I agree. The Twins weren't expected to perform well last season, in part because of the contraction threat, and because they struggled during the second half of 2001. They surpassed most people's expectations, and now everyone suddenly believes they're a World Series contender.

The Twins have been complaining about the White Sox recently, as if they're concerned that the Pale Hose might make a run. That's fine with me. Let them tremble fearfully inside that giant garbage bag they call the Metrodome.

The Sox have no pressure. If they struggle again, no one will care. If they overtake Minnesota, everyone will praise Ken Williams for the accquisition of Bartolo Colon and Billy Koch. Again, that's fine with me.

Right after the season finished in November, they had a pre season poll for the upcoming year which had the twins #1 saying they had the biggest upside out of all the playoff teams.

The Twinkies? Over the Indians and the Sox? Espn has the Indians over the Sox as well, but at least they made a kinda-decent argument with all of their key players locked up in contracts.
