Goins made the game more tense than it needed to be, but all's well that ends well.

Nice pitching by Lopez, continuing his 2nd half turnaround.

And Eloy smashes one into the seats on his bobblehead day. It's a good night to be a Sox fan.

You could see that Davis was the right man at the right time and Colome knew just what to feed him. Cutters, and they worked according to plan. Total confidence on the mound. We were never nervous, right?

The highlight of this one? Bill Waltonís stream-of-consciousness phone interview. Deliciously insane. I hope that game in Anaheim goes 20 innings.

I was at the Mankato Moondogs game with my grandson tonight, but I watched the ninth inning on my phone. Stressful.

It was a fun game to watch . thinking that hopefully, the pitching staff for next year, could be something to see . great to see Jimenez get ahold of one . some nice defensive plays and one bad one, that almost cost the game, but alls well that ends well.

How good can Tim be? That last double play he turned was fantastic. Iím gonna miss Yolmer when his time is up. Antsy to get Yoan back. Go Sox!

If Lopez can solidify a spot in our rotation as a good starter, that'll be HUGE moving forward: Giolito-Kopech-Cease-Lopez (not necessarily in that order). That's 4 spots that could be locked up.

He practiced before the game and said he feels good. He'll be back when the 10 days are up.

Yolmer sure can defend. Wish his bat had progressed up another notch; unfortunately his power, such as is it is, regressed this season. But nobody's pushing him for that position, so he'll likely be around for a while.

He'll get there. He's currently on a 4 game hitting streak with 6 hits over that time.

That's "struggling mightily"?
