Two choices missing from your poll:
  • September 1 (my choice)
  • When the churros in 127 are warm

Agreed so I edited the poll with those two options well... sort of...

Always answer with the churros.

I really dont care but said 9/1 so he can play in the crubbie series. Which may be the most meaningful series of the year for the Sox fans .

When he is needed and it makes a difference.

Right now, we're trying to fight off the Padres for the third pick overall next year (the top two spots are unreachable).

I suggest another choice: When the organization thinks it is in the long term best interests of the team.

I think KC can overtake us and we could slide into number 2. With no bullpen to speak of wins are going to be awfully hard to come by.

Great point. This team is going to blow a LOT of late inning leads down the stretch.

That's what the churro option is for...

Question:
I know that Jimenez was a highly-regarded prospect when the Sox acquired him last yar, but has he exceeded expectations so far? Or is his performance this year pretty much in line with what was expected of him?

Sept. 1st 2018 and it has nothing to do with the Cubs.

In my opinion, exceeded.

I never thought he'd be hitting almost .400 in Charlotte. He always struck me as a guy who would max out at around .270-.280, with high HR/RBI totals. I also didn't realize he was so patient and can work a count/draw a walk as good as he has.
