Default Jack Morris and Alan Trammell were elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame

Congratulations! Two of my favorites of all time make the HoF.

I'm glad both made it, but rather have seen Whiteker go in with Trammell over Morris.

The saber stat geeks are going to have a conniption fit over the election of Morris into the Hall. I'm glad Trammell made it, his teammate Lou Whitaker deserves enshrinement too.

Two RBI Baseball greats.

If Morris got in, there is a chance for Buehrle. Morris is already taken a beating for being one of the worst pitchers ever to be inducted. The Frisch cronie pitchers are the only ones who are worse. Again I am glad he got in though.

I donít think Buehrle has a chance, Morris got in because of his postseason credentials and Buehrle doesnít have those, though had Buehrle played in New York or Boston, heíd have an outside shot. I donít Morris and his 3.90 ERA belong in their either though. I still donít get how Billy Pierce isnít in.

I believe Whitaker deserves enshrinement too.

As for Morris, he has two hundred and fifty-four career wins in eighteen MLB seasons.

I get the issue with the 3.50+ ERA but Morris spent an entire career in the American League with the DH.

Morris was key with the 1984 Tigers and 1991 Twins. He won all three of his postseason starts in 1984, against the Royals and Padres, giving up five earned runs in twenty-five innings.

With the Twins, Morris was clutch in Game Seven shutting out the Braves pitching all ten innings in a 1-0 win. He went 4-0 in five postseason outings against the Blue Jays and Braves, allowing nine earned runs in thirty-six and a third innings.

So there is an argument to be made.
