Default AJ rips into former Red Sox teammates; should write comedy

Allegations:
http://www.weei.com/sports/boston/ba...-anybody-could

...aaaand AJ's hilarious response (maybe NSFW; there's profanity):
http://www.survivinggrady.com/2014/0...teammates.html

I'm not naive enough to think that none of the things the Red Sox are saying about him are true, but he fit in in the White Sox clubhouse for 8 years without any of these problems. If he didn't, we would have heard about it from Ozzie and the media. Sounds like there are some monster egos in that Boston clubhouse. Ortiz has never seemed exactly humble.

Good read. But you got to know AJ and we do. Evidently, the Red Sox never did. And a send-off of an unprofessional hatchet job? Sounds like nervous rats on a sinking ship.

I really don't know what to think of these Redsox players. I know Bobby Valentine was a bad fit but they kinda threw him under the bus, probably the same way they did with Pierzynski. I also still don't like them because of the Johnny Pesky funeral too though.

There's no secret to it. You get what you get with AJ. He was only loved in one city and made his choice to leave. Surprised he was at all affected by what takes place everywhere he stops.

Im sure there is truth to both sides here. This may be the end of the line for A.J. and I doubt if he cares. He had a good career and made some good money at the end of it. He will always be a White Sox darling.

Hilarious! Great way for AJ to respond to his Red Sox critics.

Good God....that WWEI article didn't come off as holier than thou at all!!

Quote:
Sure, there were red flags. He was viewed as a subpar receiver of the baseball. The Red Sox' preferred approach at the plate would be nowhere to be found, with Pierzynski swinging at anything and everything. And then there was that occasionally abrasive attitude. The Red Sox were confident the veteran pitching staff could deal with the catcher's weaknesses behind the plate. Perhaps the lack of patience would dissipate after he watched E]those around him. And that personality? The Sox clubhouse would be strong enough to mold the 37-year-old, instead of the other way around.
You have 12+ years of seeing what AJ is as a catcher and hitter, and you want him to change his approach because he joined this "tight knit group". chances are they never really welcomed him into the team (Cliques) and just relied on hearse and reputation instead of trying to you know....getting to know him.

I'm sure AJ isn't blameless in this but this is just a smear job to put the blame on AJ for their lost season instead of the other players/manager and GM.

Did AJ actually write this or is it satire written by "Red"?

Yea, I kind of thought that it didn't sound like something any major leaguer in search of a job would write.

Having said that, I'm sure AJ is not completely blameless but I don't think he's at fault as much as the Red Sox want people to believe. The two places that ripped AJ after he left had a history of dysfunctional clubhouses as well.

I am certain Pierzynski did not fit in well in Boston's clubhouse. I'm also certain the Red Sox, their fans and the media who cover them are a bunch of spoiled crybabies who point fingers when things don't go their way. Pierzynski isn't the first guy to get smeared by these people on his way out of Boston.

Who doesn't get smeared on their way out of Boston?

Ugh, This is not even real, why are we talking about it other than its just a joke?

AJ pissed a bunch of people off in his clubhouse, big shock, he does that everywhere. In other news, the sky is blue, and it is humid in Chicago in July.

No kidding - reminds me of people thinking articles from The Onion are real.
