Default Another month, another Rookie of the Month award for guess who

Abreu.

Too bad his ankle kept him out of May.

I really hope he skips the HR derby. If there is even a 1% chance it messes with his swing, it is in no way worth it. Love this guy. Looking forward to the next several years!

Amazing thing is he's on pace for to lead the league in HR with 50 after missing most of May. That's freaking amazing. His .630+ SLG is freaking nuts.

It's too bad he's a 27-year-old rookie. Imagine what kind of career numbers he could've posted with more years of availability.

True but hopefully he will have longevity like Ichiro another superstar from abroad who got a late start in MLB.

I bet he is on the ballot for the final All Star position

Um, I'm not sure if this is just a joke I'm not getting or not, but there's no way he's not named to the All-Star team without having to be on the final ballot.

I agree. I do have a feeling that Alexei will have to get in via the final ballot. His numbers have slipped to the point that there are a couple other guys right there with him competing to be Jeter's backup.

I'd predict Sale and Abreu with Alexei on the outside looking in unless he gets in on the final ballot.

That Yankee still in the lead with the East Coast press for ROY.

I guess he'll have to settle for historic numbers.

What happens when you’re a rookie and have a record-setting April? Your bat goes to Cooperstown.

Looks like half a bat in that picture.

Hopefully that won't be the only artifact from his career that makes it.
